Laura Wall is an unbelievably talented artist who draws endless inspiration from her surroundings. When she's not in the gallery, she can usually be found painting by the sea or travelling somewhere beautiful with her sketchbook, soaking up the colours and atmosphere. And that’s exactly where she should be.

Like many creatives, her heart is in the making, not the marketing.

Before we worked together, emails were something she’d send when there was news to share. A new collection, an upcoming exhibition, a product launch. All great emails in their own right, but there was still a missing piece.

Laura's audience loves her. They follow her journey, engage with her social media posts, and feel genuinely connected to her world. The opportunity was to bring that same warmth and storytelling into her emails, and give her audience a reason to stay connected in between launches.

So, I created a simple, repeatable monthly email format.

Each email was designed to feel like a natural extension of Laura’s world. A gentle mix of storytelling, behind-the-scenes moments, and updates, structured in a way that was easy for her to maintain, and something her audience could look forward to receiving.

And it worked. People began replying, sharing, and engaging. Not just with her products, but with her as a person and an artist.

Even though I no longer manage Laura’s emails, she still uses that same format today. And each time one lands in my inbox, it makes me smile.

Alongside this, I also introduced a simple client dashboard to bring everything into one place, making it easier to plan, organise, and keep content moving without it feeling overwhelming.

My role included:

  • Designing a consistent monthly email format

  • Planning, writing and scheduling each email with Laura’s sign off

  • Generating ideas and creating social media content to support her overall visibility

  • Building a consistent schedule that felt manageable and sustainable

  • Introduced a dedicated client workspace to organise ideas, plan content, and create a clearer, more manageable content process

Amy is a real pleasure to work with, she transformed how we scheduled social media posts and mail outs and helped hugely with content ideas and crafting posts. We asked to have monthly meetings and Amy accommodated this by meeting us face to face for an hour a month, it meant it kept us accountable (but in a really fun way). I would look forward to our monthly meetings to discuss ideas together and actually became excited about content (this has never happened before and was always arduous before Amy came along!). A great use of funds and an asset to our business.
